These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Amber Codex website and the purchase of any reading or product from us. Amber Codex™ is operated by Lisa Abriani (ABN 48830045311). Amber Codex™ is a trade mark of Lisa Abriani. By using this site or purchasing a reading, you agree to these Terms.
Amber Codex provides personalised written readings based on information you provide: the Blueprint, which synthesises astrology, numerology, personal values, Enneagram and (where your birth time allows) Human Design; and the Year Ahead reading, which covers your transits, eclipses, numerology and Chinese year for the year named. Through our shop we also offer other personalised readings (the Birthday Year Ahead, Love Compatibility and Where You Thrive readings), personalised items made from a calculated chart (birth chart prints and the Shadow Work Journal), and printables that are the same for every buyer (such as the 2027 calendar and planners). In these Terms, "reading" includes each of these.
These readings are provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. They are not, and should not be treated as, professional psychological, medical, financial, or legal advice. Nothing in a reading should be relied upon as a substitute for consulting an appropriately qualified professional, and you should always seek professional advice for any decision affecting your health, finances, or legal circumstances.
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a reading, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. By purchasing, you confirm you meet this requirement.
Your reading is calculated from the exact birth data and other information you submit. It is your responsibility to provide accurate information. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in your reading caused by incorrect data you provided, though we're happy to help correct and reissue a reading where a genuine input error is identified, see our Refund and Delivery Policy for how this works.
Where your exact birth time is unknown or only approximately known, certain sections of your reading (such as Rising sign and house placements) will be flagged as lower-confidence or generated using an alternative method, and are provided on that basis.
Readings are generated automatically. Your astronomical, numerological and other data are calculated from what you submit, partly using third-party calculation services, and the written interpretation is then drafted by an AI model from those results, following our own method. Readings and journals are not reviewed by a person before they are delivered to you. Birth chart prints are drawn automatically from your calculated chart. While we take care to produce accurate calculations and thoughtful, genuinely personalised interpretation, readings involve subjective interpretive content and should be understood as such.
Your finished reading is provided to you for your own personal use. You may keep and refer to it as you wish, but you may not resell, publish, or commercially redistribute it. The underlying platform, methodology, questionnaire design, and branding remain the property of Amber Codex.
Prices are set and charged in Australian Dollars (AUD). Where prices are displayed in other currencies for your convenience, these are indicative only, and the amount actually charged to your payment method will be in AUD, converted by your card provider or bank at their own applicable rate. Payment is processed securely by our third-party payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full payment details.

A gift is bought on our gift page (or through our Etsy shop) and delivered as a one-time code for a Year Ahead reading. The person who uses the code fills in their own birth details, and their reading is private to them: the buyer does not see it.
Gift codes do not expire. A code that is still unused when the next year's reading is released can be used for that reading instead. A code can be used once and cannot be exchanged for cash.
If a gift code bought on our website has not been used, the buyer can ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase, and the code is then cancelled. Once a code has been used, the reading is covered by our Refund and Delivery Policy like any other reading. Gifts bought through Etsy are refunded under Etsy's purchase protection and our Etsy shop policies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amber Codex is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of a reading or this website, including decisions made in reliance on the content of a reading.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
We reserve the right to refuse service, at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe information provided is fraudulent or where use of the platform violates these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. Where you are located outside Australia, this governing law clause still applies to your agreement with us, though certain mandatory consumer protections in your own country of residence may also apply and cannot be excluded, see Section 8 (Where your information is processed) of our Privacy Policy for related detail.
